Medan – In recent days, North Sumatra has been abuzz with reports that the President Director (Dirut) of PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra is being investigated by the North Sumatra Attorney General’s Office (Kejati) over alleged corruption involving a capital participation fund of 73.2 billion Rupiah at PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra.
This statement caught the attention of Mhd Haryadi Nst, Chairman of the North Sumatra Regional Board of Nahdlatul Ulama Students’ Association (PW IPNU), who stated that the news is untrue and baseless, and I suspect that there are individuals intentionally stirring up the situation and aiming to worsen the performance of PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra.
Initially, the speculation surrounding this news vanished, and now it appears as if the allegations are true, said Haryadi, Chairman of PW IPNU North Sumatra.
Haryadi Nst added that the capital participation fund of 73.2 billion Rupiah allocated to PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra is kept in a special deposit account of the company. It cannot be withdrawn haphazardly unless it follows the company’s procedures and is authorized.
The truth is that the Financial Director of PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra, HR, was summoned by the North Sumatra Attorney General’s Office to provide clarification on the allegations, and he presented authentic evidence. It is also known that every project undertaken by PDAM Tirtanadi is always reported to the North Sumatra Attorney General’s Office before being tendered, he said.
I am well acquainted with the President Director of PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra, Mr. Kabir Bedi. He is a leader who upholds principles and adheres strictly to existing regulations. He has achieved many successes and accomplishments while leading our Regional Water Company (BUMD).
One of his latest breakthroughs is the Tirtanadi DRIVE THRU, which facilitates bill payments for water services for the community. The discipline of the staff in carrying out their duties and serving the public can be verified through the 24-hour Call Center of PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra.
This information needs to be widely disseminated to the public, showing that PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra is performing well. We should not only focus on negative assessments that the public hears. Under the leadership of Mr. Kabir Bedi as President Director of PDAM Tirtanadi North Sumatra, there is a noticeable difference, progress is evident, and the quality of service is improving, concluded Haryadi Nst.
